A Bittersweet Summer

The summer is here but I feel so cold
I feel so lost even in my own home
Is this day going to be over?
It is just getting too rough

I walked out our door
And took a stroll for awhile
I went into a stream
Of people passing by
Then I saw you in Curls

Instead of me

This bright day is getting darker
Will I lay down my case?
Will I need to get by?
Or just resume my chase

I have been here so long
Is it the right time to move?
They were on that front
It won't be over 'till noon
Do I need to go?

Where palm trees grow

They've got some friends
